Position Details / Job Description:
The billing specialist oversees the tasks of creating the client in the billing system, sends invoices out, and monitors outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time and in full. This role helps our business keep track of how much money is owed and by whom, often managing numerous client accounts at once.
The ideal candidate must have great data entry skills and deep organizational skills to accurately handle all of the incoming payments, outgoing invoices, database updates, and more that make up their day-to-day responsibilities. On top of this meticulous attention to detail, the billing specialist must also possess excellent communication skills to answer questions from the internal and external clients with a goal of helping to solve their issues, and keep them updated with relevant account information.
- Prior experience as a bill specialist a plus
- MS Office experience, proficient excel knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to remain flexible and learn new processes and guidelines as necessary
